Once upon a time, there was a young woman named Lily who lived with her elderly father in a run down old farmhouse at the edge of a bustling town. Now her father wasn't long for this world and wanted her to be taken care of when he was gone, so he promised the wealthiest man in the town that he could have her hand in marriage.
Now the man was called Thomas and lived in a huge townhouse with servants and gardens, but he wasn't very well liked. He was a mean man with a cold heart.
